2. Panchmukhi Hanuman Statue

This 161-foot-tall statue is in Bidanagere, Karnataka. The word “Panchmukhi” is Sanskrit for the one with five faces. This form of Hanuman is believed to be his “Virat”, or gigantic form. It is endowed with weapons such as the parashu (battle axe), chakra (disc), gada (mace), trishul (trident), and the khanda (sword).
